One has to feel sorry for the masseurs based in HK but have no connection to the gang.

I wonder whether some of the bad actors (including organizers?) used to be in the "Murray Hill Gang" 😉 

I remember there used to be a whole bunch of Eastern European masseurs who had a handler with which you texted to set up your appointment. The handler would sound really good and promise all kinds of things, but then a masseur who didn't speak English would show up completely unaware (or pretending to be) of what had been promised. Once I had a masseur with no resemblance to the guy that was in the ad show up at my hotel. Awkward. And spooky.
