“Dead” links

Some links lately don’t stay active on the posts…it will show a tiny blue box with a question mark.  For example:

The link you posted shows fine for me. 

There is not an image included because the site is not presenting an oembed image tag to key off of so it is just showing the link.

Oh weird. Ok but I still can’t click on it or any others…at least any newer posts

Ok not even older posts. Might be something with the browser or settings

Does it happen when you use a different browser?  If not, something is going on with the browser such as a plugin blocking it. 

Does it happen when you use a different device?  It might be something on that Dr I e specifically such as an AV program misbehaving or an adblocker thinking the links are ads.

I’ve been using the same browser Safari on my phone. I don’t have a different device to use currently.  I turned off pop up blockers 
 
And now if the picture shows then the link works and plain links are fine

Try clearing the Safari browser cache.  You might have something old caught in your cache.

Nobody older than 40 would be caught dead in mine, or alive.
