The new millenium hasn't been good to Gay Porno this year. With the loss of Jon Vincent, Kyle McKenna and Steve Cadro - porn has lost some great talent. I can't remember when we've lost some great entertainers.

Whether Jon's exit was suicide or accidental it brings up a concern that I've had for a while. Escorts who use drugs scare me. I know some ( like Jon from what I hear ) hid it well he was known to do them. Should clients be appraised of an escorts habit? It's a dicey subject but one that I as a client would most certainly want to know.

Kyle's suicide by drugs is a warning flag for those that are in the porn/escort business. I would hope some take drug use more seriously now but somehow tend to doubt it.

Steve was murdered in Europe, he was a director with a real eye for great looking men. He'll be missed also. ( Loss of Innocence is a beautiful film)

Jon, Kyle, Steve - Rest in Peace and Thanks for all the Fantasies you provided. May you be living yours out now!

I'm sure every gay porn and/or escort drug casualty is matched by at least one similarly trajic "client" incident. Let's not allow ourselves to falsly deny that drug abuse problems directly affect ourselves and our own peer group. It's not fair to say, "Escorts have more drug problems." No, WE have just as many horribly destructive drug problems.

After many relatively clean years, my drug demons STILL haunt me on a daily basis. Does it ever end or get easier? I grieve everytime I hear about a casualty. Then, I pray that tomorrow's is not me.

RO,

The Answer is "No, it never ends".....and "Yes, it gets better". People turn to drugs for a wide varity of reasons.

Once you start working on the underlying problems, yes it does get better. Just hang in there kid

Actually, the incidents with escorts and drugs is a microcosm of the gay community as a whole. Let's face it, there is a MAJOR drug problem within the gay community that NOBODY likes to talk about. What the hell do you think the circuit parties are all about??? HELLO. I am very surprised that these parties aren't being targeted by the DEA.

I guess I have very little tolerance for the drug culture that pervades the gay community. I've watched a friend throw away his career over drugs. He was one of the biggest suppliers of special K in the area. He was convicted and was sent to prison. He's due to be released to a half-way house in a few weeks and the one thing he can't wait to do is party. If losing 18 months of his life didn't do it and the 2 near overdoses he had before his conviction didn't do it, then he will never walk away from the drug scene. He was one of the circuit party queens and never missed one.

How this ranting relates to escorts? Three of the escorts I have been with over the last 6 months have mentioned in casual conversation about recreational drug use. Not to sound judgemental, but it's not my scene. And the thing that just amazes me is how so many guys, not just the escorts, work so hard to have a flawless body and then to put drugs into your body that were designed to sedate a horse makes no sense. I guess I'm just missing something, I don't know. I'll stick with getting high on sports.

Ok, I'm off my soapbox.
