The date is June 16, 2024 and will be held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. The cut-off date for eligibility is April 25, 2024 and nominees will be announced on April 30, 2024. CBS will broadcast the event live that evening. which it has been doing since 1978. Last year's event, which was adlibbed throughout the ceremony since the writer's strike was underway, has been heralded as one of the best televised awards ceremony in recent history. Without the scripts, the presenters did a fine job in keeping the show moving freely and quickly (without dull dialog or jokes which were 'DOA'.
