Can anyone give me info about the gay scene in DC during the week? Are the strip clubs open? Worth a visit? Will be there between two weekends, alas. KNow the escort scene isn't great, but what about the bars and strip clubs. thanks....

There's a few strip clubs located in the Southeastern corner of the city. The first is La Cage (O Street), Ziegfeld's which is a few doors down and my favorite Edge/Wet on L Street. All the dancers shed all of their clothes and dance for tips. Not sure if they do privates but my guess is that many of them do. Make sure you drive or take a cab, these's bars located in a bad part of town. It's been a year since I've been there so you may want to get some updated information. Here's the scoop from a friend of mine who's a stripper in D.C.

 

Ziegfelds: nasty, trashy strippers who will do anything for the right price. You can get away with anything. Can be scary.

 

La Cage: Ok place, safe, nice dancers. Nice bar too.

 

Wet: hot dancers, hot times, great crowd. Hot dancers with big dicks and hot times.

 

Also, The Gloryhole, a bathhouse in DC. Be careful because DC has the highest rate of infection in the country.

One more thing...

 

Wet is a gay strip bar; Edge, located next door to Wet, is a straight bar of primarily straight black men. Now, don't get me wrong, I would LOVE me some straight black men, but, I don't want you to wander into the wrong bar and wander out with your teeth in your back pocket.

Isn't it funny but secrets/Zigfelds is my favorite. I find the guys friendly and will talk to you at the bar. On Thursdays, they only charge $5.00 and started another show in their larger section. On Sundays it is free.

La Cage is ok, but too small. Wet can be nice, but I think the dancers are snobs.

PJ, You may be right. I've never been there and went on the advice of a friend who dances in DC. Of course, he would talk up Wet since he works there, but these were his thoughts.

 

I myself must admit, when he said Ziegfield's was dark and seedy it made me hungry! I like it nasty too.

 

Maybe when the cherry blossoms are in bloom I'll ride the metroliner to our nation's capital then ride a few of the dancers!

Are any of you from DC? Here's the scoop:

Nation took over from Tracks (demolished) Huge Friday is straight rave, Saturday is gay.weekdays when open straight.

Wet is across street- big and many dancers who change every night. Open every nite.

Secrets/Zeigfields is the hottest but only open Thur-Sun and same dancers every nite.

LaCage, same block, older and faded- the bar and the dancers.Open every nite.

The Follies, between these two, is DC's best bet. Hot nude lap dancing and a backroom.So hot a Congressman burned to death here.They get away with it because no liquor license. Cover lower than the bars and varied dancers plus some out of towners. Shows at 12-3-6-9-12 but sadly, only on F-S-S.

Forgot to report on my "findings." Spent two nights in DC in the strip bars. Definitely found Secrets to be the hottest. La Cage was OK. Some interesting action going on in a back corner with a very hot black dancer and a quite attractive professional in a three piece suit. Voyeurs heaven. Bar dancers decidedly less interesting than at Secrets. They rotate about 6-8 guys and there seemed always to be one or two who were very attractive (IMHO). Lots more freedom: more contact and "personal" attention allowed. It was a fairly slow (week)night when I was there, but nevertheless, the guys didn't appear bored or disinterested in the customers. For country boys like myself, a very satisfying experience.

I think everyone is missing my point about dc- maybe no frame of reference. here touching is done a lot (for 30 years you could mastubate or finger the boys on the bar and there's a lot of resentment because the ABC board has tried to stop the masturbation of dancers .) This writer remembers 8 yrs ago when straight dancers would sit on greased beer bottles for a $5 tip!

of the bars Secrets allows most contact, dancers switch into very loose black nylon shorts at corner of dance floor so patrons can do full fingering and masturbation up the shorts legs.

BUT- and here's the Big Point- THE FOLLIES allows everything, just like the good old days because they have no liquor license to worry about. the dancers sit in your lap, masturbate you (keep your fly open and johnson out and greased!), let you masturbate and finger them, anything you want to do. penetration has been known to happen on a lap dance and ejaculation is not rare. for a $1 tip!!! there's also private booths if u just have to have a boy more. and these aren't sleazes, they're mostly the dancers from the other clubs next door and some are nicer.have to get membership ($15) 1st time but after that it's just $7 cover ($5 before noon!)- cheaper than the bars. amazingly few people go in here so they've cut back to just weekends.
