I have a question...while in a chat room, I started up a conversation with a guy and asked if he escorted. He said yes, and it would depend on the scene and the price. I told him what I had paid for other escorts. He told me that $150 was fine with him for the scene I was looking for. (I never actually offered him a dollar amount, just told him what I had paid in the past. )I asked what else he got into, and he said he was really a law inforcement officer (spelled exactly like that) and was reporting me to my local police.

Do I need to be worried about this? Or was it just a guy who was annoyed that I had bothered him online?

While there certainly *can* be cases of "entrapment" online, this guy just sounds like a jerk with a very warped sense of humor.

If he really *was* in law enforcement he certainly wouldn't have told you.

Open and shut

As was stated in a previous response, I believe that this was a person trying to scare you is all. Typically law enforcement wants an "open and shut" case so they want somebody to actually MEET somebody for sex where they can exchange money.

An actual officer, attempting a sting, would have attempted to get you to agree to pay a specific amount for sex, and would have arranged a time and place.

I wouldn't worry at all....like others have said I think he was just trying to scare the shit out of you. If entrapment was his goal he would have carried through with a meeting
