It came out of nowhere. Tuesday’s announcement that golf’s bitter rivals would join forces took everyone by surprise – even, it seems, the players.

I’m more angry than saddened by this situation. If the deal goes through I will never watch golf again. Sounds like a dramatic reaction, but my gut says walk away.

I feel sorry for the players who stayed loyal to the PGA.  McIlroy reportedly turned down $300 million to join LIV.  The PGA stabbed him in the back.
