Dtlaguy Posted May 25 Posted May 25 I’m looking to book for the first time with Nathan, can someone PM with details of what to expect? Thanks in advance! JoeRS 1

Very happy with the entire experience. 10/10 and will definitely book with him again. I just wanted to share that I already have my next visit with Nathan booked and am so very excited to see him again! If this massage is as good or better than the last one he gave me, then he’s got a lifelong client in me! JoeRS and relax man 2
Guest Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Any thoughts on Patrick? As compared to Nathan? Please dm me. Thanks
TonyRose Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Curious again to ask what the tipping range field would be for an above average massage here. I see some saying it should be 200, but not sure if that’s what you’d tip for a regular massage, or one that’s better. Also, I’m not a cheap person, but I’ve only given 100 for a 120min massage. Am I…? Cheap?! 🫣 JoeRS 1

Cheap?! 🫣 If I get a 90-minute, which is usually around $95-100, I will tip at least another $100-105 on top for a total of $200... unless, of course, it was a sub-par experience (which happens but is rare). Honestly, what makes someone a great client isn’t just the tip amount,it’s being kind, respectful, appreciative, and valuing the therapist’s work. From what you’ve described, you sound like an amazing client. Trust me, any therapist would be happy to have someone like you on their table. Edited June 6 by JoeRS TonyRose 1

If the hundred dollars doesn’t make a big difference to your bank account, know that it more than likely makes a huge difference to the masseur’s. That is also being kind, respectful, appreciative and valuing the therapist’s work. JoeRS 1

Always throughout the massage, I let my therapist know exactly how amazing they’re doing by giving thumbs up or just saying the words to them. I know words only go so far and do want to also feel as though I’m expressing my gratitude financially, but don’t want to overtip and set a higher expectation for the next person. Thanks for the kudos! JoeRS 1

I'm curious how much of the base fee the masseur keeps and how much Thai Wellness Spa keeps. Perhaps that info is too propriatery for discussion. I had a good massage recently at Thai Wellness, 90 minutes, $95 rate. I tipped $85. I asked the therapist if OK and he seemed happy. Sounds like you tip a little higher. They must appreciate your generosity. LA is expensive. JoeRS 1
U1255677 Posted June 7 Posted June 7 They rent the rooms. So I’m assuming they keep 100% of the money and pay a flat monthly fee. But I could be wrong.

I’m lucky enough to have enough to tip so well, but I also am lucky that they have such great therapists working there. I’ve never had a bad experience and have seen both female and male therapists. From what I understand, the massage fee is usually split between the therapist and the spa, often around 50/50, or sometimes the therapist gets a little more. Tips, however, typically go directly to the therapist. Because of that, a therapist’s income and overall job satisfaction can depend quite a bit on tips. TonyDown and TonyRose 1 1
Peter Eater Posted June 7 Posted June 7 20 hours ago, TonyRose said: don’t want to overtip No such thing, I’d say. A gratuity, freely given, is a reward for service, and it sets no expectations for subsequent customers. Undertipping, on the other hand, is a thing! JoeRS and TonyRose 2

Undertipping, on the other hand, is a thing! In theory, I agree with you, but I have had certain therapists get accustomed to very generous tips I gave them.... and then when I gave a very good but not super generous tip one time as I was a bit shorter on cash, the therapist looked at me and asked if something was wrong given it was less than the usual, creating for an awkward situation. I don't believe he was speaking from the perspective of "I deserve more or expect more," but was sincerely concerned. I explained I had less cash on me that day, and it was fine... but it made it awkward enough that I felt obligated to make sure I had the cash on me to give the larger tip the next time. So I think you should give your standard good tip, not excessively more, but if you really love the therapist, maybe give a bonus around the holidays. Just coming back here to say that I saw Nathan again yesterday and hands down he will be the only masseur I book with moving forward. His technique and massage skills are above average, and for the second time in a row he’s left me feeling amazing and completely satisfied. 11/10 in every aspect. Y’all need to book with him. No DM’s about the massage, please, as I am only commenting on his massage technique as they are way above average. Schedule a massage with him to feel exactly what I’m talking about. GenXXX Posted Thursday at 08:58 PM Posted Thursday at 08:58 PM Been going to TWS for a couple years and SWS for a few months. In my experiences, and I am only rating ones I remember for certain, as, honestly, a couple times, sessions with a couple not mentioned were a blur (nothing like a sensual massage on 100mg of THC edible). Nathan - Best massage technique, big and strong giving me conflicted feelings because I’m not a bottom (or a top, just partially bi-curious who appreciates maybe 1/4 of my sensual massages from an attractive younger man and feel safest/most attracted to Asian, especially Thai, man or woman, just have that warmth to them not present in most others). With Nathan, I feel like I just surrender to his strong touch and excellent technique, and the extras are enthusiastically there. Andre and Patrick , I lump them together because to me they are very similar. I am most attracted to these two guys, more on the twink side, if 30 year olds are still twinks, but still masculine enough so I don’t feel gaaaayyy, lol. Massage technique for both, adequate, but not like hurts so good and surrendering like with Nathan. I’ve probably seen Patrick a half dozen times or more and the extras are his strength. Andre, I’ve seen only a couple times, and I think he has the best physique out of all there. Tommy, he’s not bad, not great, won’t leave disappointed, but won’t get best massage ever, either. Really miss having women at TWS and enjoy the three working at SWS. Extras are fewer but when a great Thai massage precedes it, just a nice release is adequate and appreciated. One thing I really appreciate about TWS and SWS is the ability to book online with the therapist, whether days ahead or minutes ahead if they are showing as available. Also, somehow, a Thai Spa in an East Hollywood strip mall, still feels less sketchy than going in someone’s private residence, usually in an apartment building. *No DM’s, if you DM me, I’ll assume you’re a cop or a serial killer.
