I have told myself over and over again NOT to become involved in this thread BUT the temptation is simply too great. I realize that as a client I am entering a venue for escorts but I can't resist. Now let me begin with the following caveal: I am speaking ONLY for myself and I apologize in advance for the rambling nature of this post.

A couple of the escorts I have hired in the past have asked me if I would ever consider getting into a relationship with someone my own age. My answer has always been a resounding -- Good god NO !!! I am not remotely interested in getting into a relationship with anyone PERIOD. I live alone and that is exactly how I want to live. Second, why when I had my first sexual experience with another man at the age of 61 1/2 which was also my first experience with an escort, would I want to have recreational sex with someone my own age? I am looking to play with guys in their late twenties or thirties who exhibit two qualities: 1. they must be drop dead good looking and have great gymnastic/bodybuilder type of bodies and 2. they must be able to carry on a relatively intelligent conversation. I can find guy my own age who can carry on the conversations BUT my own mirror tells me that guys my age do NOT have great gymnastic/bodybuilder type of bodies. Even though some posters on the site obviously believe that all johns over forty are looking for love, companionship, and deep long term friendship that is simply NOT TRUE. I, for one, am looking for one thing and one thing only -- SEX -- and sex with a nice guy who has one hell of a great body and for that I am willing to pay.

Now do I believe that the escorts I am hiring are drooling to have sex with me because I am so physically and mentally desirable -- don't be ridiculous. They are having sex with me because I am paying and if they are good at their chosen profession they are able to create an atmosphere where we both enjoy ourselves. I am now going to make some very arguable generalizations. During the the last 3 1/2 years that I have been hiring escorts I have come to the conclusion that the "vast majority" (not all) of the guys I have hired fit into one of three general categoeies:

1. Very young, very good looking, very well built guys with minimal intelligence and education who have found, what they think is an easy way to make a living. They may or may not be supporting a durg habit. Generally these guys are great to look at BUT don't have much else to offer. Frequently they don't even PLAY very well. They don't usually stick around very long.

2. A group of guys of various ages who use escorting to support themselves while pursuing an education or a career in a difficult field, ie. acting. These guys may or may not be outstanding escorts depending on their individual personalities. Todd Dillon in L.A. fit into this category and god damn he was INCREDIBLE. Though some of you are going to have a shit fit over this next name I sincerely feel that Scott Adler fits here. He has a fun personality, a great body and he plays extremely well. The one drawback to these guys is that they don't usually escort for an exatended period of time.

3. A group of guys who are what I consider the "true professionals". These guys are frequently well educated and have had other occupations or professions. THey tend to be older -- in their late twenties, thirties or even forties. Being openly gay they have decided that they want lots of sex, enjoy meeting different people and like the money. They are able to relate to an incredible wide variety of people and quickly develop a regular clientele. Steven Kesslar in San Francisco/Portland and Rod Hagen in L.A. fit well into this category. I also have a feeling, though I have never met these two guys, that Juan in Vancouver and Rick Monroe in New York are also excellent examples. These are the guys who are able to make sexual dreams and fantasies come true. God damn they are fun.

Well, for what it is worth, not really very much, that is my two cents worth. Come and get me guys.

I repect escorts but if I am a paying client I would hope that the escort is about what I want and not about what I look like oh yea and hopefully he will be showered

I'm not an escort but I do hire them frequently. I have only been asked by a couple of escorts about my looks and had two of them turm me down after I told them I was mid 60s, fat and had a face that made an Armadillo's ass look attractive. So obviously it does matter to some escorts. However, the ones I've had the most fun with such as Rick Munroe and Derek Ross and Troy/Chicago, have replied that it didn't matter and after our sessions, I believe them. No one can be that good of an actor without receiving an Oscar.

Cynical, hateful people are the hardest to love (and have sex with). JT, I've always been attracted to all types of men. The variety of turn-ons is endless and I'm happy I have little limitation. However, I cannot get hard over the sight of an obese man. It's a complete turn-off for me. I can handle maybe up to 80 pounds overweight but that's it, and it seriously depends on the distribution of that weight. So you better be fairly tall and carry it well.

What am I missing. If an escort accepts me as a client, he should make me feel like I am the only thing for that hour or 2 or overnight that matters. For rejection why should a client pay I dont have to pay. As some of you have said this is a job and I think it is the escorts responsibilty to make the client happy

One of my favorite ads (BTW we should start a thread of favorite ads) stated that the escort was looking for guys who were between the ages of 18-45, drug and disease free (reasonable, at least as far sa diseases), gl and inshape...it read like an ad for a boyfriend but that you were expected to pay...
