I tried for awhile working on getting a network of NYC escorts put together. It never really worked. People just didn't want to come out and connect for some reason.

I did find a group that seemed to be somewhat succesful in getting some escorts networked together. But the level of unprofessionalism in the group made it something I did not want to be associated with.

I think a big problem with getting escorts networked is that we all have different outlooks on what exactly it is we are doing. Some are making some fast cash on the side of their 9-5, some are using it as a way to survive, some chose to do it full time because they love doing it. We all come into it from different backgrounds and use this work in different ways in our lives.

So to bring all these guys together is really quite impossible I've learned, because even though we all work in the sex industry, we really all do things very differently.

Perhaps in a purely social context it could be a fun thing. An opportunity to meet others and make friends. But I wouldn't try for anything more than that.

Sure, I think it would be fun.

Let me know if you need any help picking a venue or anything. My "day" job is working in nightlife, so I know a lot of places.

I dont live in NYC however I think networking with other escorts is a bad idea...I remeber one escort telling me that it was important what other escorts thought of me.

I think networking with other esocrts is like networking with other employes at the Gap it goes no were and causes drama not to mention un needed drama

>There was or is an "Escort Only' Area Somewhere.. BUT other than " Gossip

>about Clients" all it would do is get Guys like B.N for Example.. in Major Crap! :+

Get your information right.

The escort only message board is to inform other escorts about clients who pay with bad checks, set up appointments and don't show up or try in one way or another to cheat or rip off escorts. Yes, unfortunately, there are a few cases out there.

Hey Jesse,

IN my personal experience, Being around escorts is always interesting. Getting to learn about their personal approach to the profession, getting to see who do feel guilt about it, who feel proud and for which reasons... getting to experience the different ways in which we all talk about clients, treat them differently and communicate with them in a personal unique way is always not only really fun, but an experience from which I always try to learn a bit.

Often, people have come to Vancouver with the purpose of spending time with escorts. Some of those people, have asked me to put together a pair, a threesome, a group of escorts that will fulfill them in a very specific way.

Knowing that my own personal reputation goes with my recommendation, I took it as my personal job to get to know all the guys working in my city. (I might have chosen that because I am also kind of a pig, but I do have a good excuse that sounds profesional, don't I?)

Now I know with certain accuracy who is a better top, who is a better bottom, who likes this and that, and who has a very specific type of attitude. I find that when escorts understand that you are there not to be their competition, but to use their personal specific talents and widen their own market, working together becomes not only really fun, but sometimes very profitable.

I know that there are a few that I would never call again to work with... I know that some of them would not be my close friends... I know that some of them have my same type and could be direct competition... but I do believe that getting to know them personally has given me many new oportunities to offer a more wholesome service.

Lately, when I realize that there are 6 or 7 gorgeous escorts, all of them different and unique, laughing and eating in my home, I think that it would be really really fun to open an agency.

All that I want to say, is that it is possible to be close to other guys, with whom you have a profession in common.

And in the end, in some parts of Europe it has been proven that a set of homogeneized rules, and a "union" of sorts, makes it much easier for both escorts and clients.

I really hope that in northamerica we will be mature enough to allow our profesion not only be legal and safe, but a thriving, proud, regulated one.

(Fuck, now that I re-read this post, it sounds a bit too much. But I think I will take the risk.)

Let's all get together and have a blast!! :9
