Just as Barry Gibb has outlived his three younger singing siblings, Ruth Pointer has now outlived her three younger singing siblings. Anita has died.

Bonnie left the group before their greatest successes. June had the power voice and sang lead on a lot of their stuff. Ruth had/has the deepest voice (she sang lead on Automatic and Neutron Dance), but Anita had the purest, prettiest voice. There's a song of theirs that I love but had never heard until I heard it played on SOLID GOLD, or some show like that. She sang the lead:
