I’ve been a top-guy for quite a while and performing with a condom has become a problem. Not that I would ever consider anal without using a condom, I am having a difficult time maintaining an erection on initial entry. The condom tends to desensitize and I believe this to be the cause. I’d appreciate any advice and also hearing from other top-guys that have had these problems. I am not open to using Viagra as I do not like taking medications.

Thanks

Have you tried using different types of condoms?

Several companies (ie, Trojan, Advanti) are now putting out polyurethane condoms that are not only oil-compatable, but that also transmit bodyheat & are more than 10x as strong as latex. They're more expensive than the lot of latex, but worth in (IMO) when dealing in anal sex. I've found greater sensation when topping with them and have also noticed a real difference in feeling the warmth of the bottom i'm with. It's quite nice. The only real downside i've found with some of these poly-condoms is that they're prelubed with Nonoxynol-9, which has since been found to actually FOSTER transmission of HIV due to the intense irritation of anal tissue.

To combat this, i suggest taking some good water or silicone-based lube and 'washing' down the condom before playing. Just squirt some into the condom and swirl it around a bit.

... Suddenly i'm feeling quite a bit like a hybrid between Dr. Ruth Westheimer and Julia Child. :)

As for other options, it's not too long in the future for a 'paint-on' condom that supposedly feels like 'nothing at all.' Interesting concept, but i'm skeptical if it will prevent against pregnancy AND HIV. It could easily turn out to be another 'lambskin' condom issue, when the condom doesn't serve dual-purpose. Not cool.

Warmest Always,

Don't forget the female condom too. I really like it since there is no restriction and allows for a natural feeling for the top. And not to mention it is polyurithane (ms) so it doesn't require water based lubes and is already quite lubed up.

First, I suggest you try the Magnum and XL sizes. Even if you are not jumbo sized, the will fit, but more loosely and will allow you more room to expand. A tight condum has some tendency to sqeeze the blood out of the penis. Also, try the unlubricated ones. Without the lube inside, they have less tendency to restrict. You probably already have learned to open the package before you start and have the lube ready, so you won't have to fumble around once you get hard.

Hey guys, thanks for this information it was very helpful. I have done some research and located various condoms that may be helpful. The website "Condomania" was the best as Condom Knowledge did not have a good product mix. If you know other sites, please pass them on. The issues here, I think, are heat transfer and the condom being too tight --- very good points!!!

Thanks again
