Deposits and preying on people they meet who just give the money to get them to leave.  It's one of the reasons I never host.  If I arrive and it's not them I can just leave.

I suppose, I’m just the turnover they need to do in order to make it a profitable scam seems like a lot - either that or it is true what PT Barnum said about suckers being born ever minute 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’ve only ever hosted established, regular gents in my place, and only after previous enjoyable encounters. I will host in hotels, but only recommended providers, and I always meet them in a public place first.
