There used to be a "jump to new replies" button in the old forums.  It was useful if I look at a notification (someone liked a post I'd made a while ago, so I jumped into the middle of the thread) and wanted to continue on to new posts.  Is there any facility for this in the new software?

I don't recall that button. Maybe @RadioRob does. This could possibly help. Go to "Account Settings" and then click on "Content View Behavior" and you can choose the option of when you open a thread to have it take you to the first comment, last comment, or first comment you haven't read yet which sounds like the option you want. But you'd have to first back out of the thread that you viewed your post that got the reaction and click on it normally.

Xenforo had something like that, but it's not existed since our move to IPB a year ago.

As @BuffaloKyle noted...  the best way to support this is to just change the default action to take when you click on a topic link.

In addition, if you needed to link to a SPECIFIC post...  the timestamp on a post is a link directly to that post.  You can right click it and copy the link to have direct access to the post.
