Does anyone have updated tips for a trip to Montreal?  What's open, what's not, places to go for food, drinks, and music.

Also some weekends in June are extremely expensive for flights.  Any reason why?  I couldn’t figure out what event was going on.

I think there's a lot of intra-Canada travel happening this summer. Hotel prices have skyrocketed in the metropolitan trio.

If you are into music, the jazz fest there in late june/early july is one of the best around.

Several streets get pedestrianized in the summer and are very lively with lots of food, drink and music options. Some of my favourites are St Catherine (a little more rowdy), St Denis (a little more hip), and St Laurent (somewhere in between).

Thanks for the tip -- decided to plan my trip to correspond with the jazz fest.
