Do any of you like music like this?

I guess I tend to prefer more melodious music, such as Verdi, Mozart, Puccini, Rossini, Offenbach, Bizet, Handel, and the like. Most modern operas don't do it for me, especially stuff like this, coming up at LA Opera. My mother used to love Pelleas & Melissande by Debussy--but sitting through that one was really torture for me. Any of you like this kind of music?

Saw it in New York several times and and once in Sydney.

Also Britten masterwork Death in  Venice years and years ago in New York
