Bottom of the page logout button?

Is it possible (reasonable?) to put a logout button at the bottom of the page, or at the bottom of the page that shows up after "marking forums read?"

More detail:  After reading unread content from my previous visits and reaching the "no more unread content" advisory,  I click "mark content read."  After confirming that's what I want to do,  I'd like to logout...but that requires me to navigate to the top of the page.  It would be oh so convenient if that logout option were offered at the bottom of the page after my confirmation.
