I am organizing a little get together here in phoenix to coincide with our Pride weekend. The dates of Pride are Saturday April 18 and Sunday April 19.. There is a parade Saturday morning, and an all day festival both days. Friday night we can make a group trip to Dick's Cabaret, our totally nude strip club. Then we can meet Saturday for the parade and festival, then a group dinner that evening. Sunday is more festival and if desired, a return to Dicks for their 2-4-1 night (2-4-1 on cover and lap dances). Everyone (except the mean girls) are invited. If you are interested, drop me a line. The website for Pride is http://www.phoenixpride.org there you can find some info about hotels that are offering special rates (click on celebration then hotel)..For those who like to "priceline it", select either the downtown area to be closer to the pride festivities, or the airport area to be closer to Dicks cabaret.

Last year we had 3 fellow posters attend. Several more have expressed interest this year. I hope to get a good turn out to rival the Palm Springs event...I will do my best to try and convince some of our local working boys to attend the dinner.

Thanks for the invitation. Let me put my name in the hat as one who intends to make the trip for Pride. (It will be my first Pride event and my first visit to Phoenix).

It also gives me a chance to visit new friends from the P.S. weekend event.

Thanks for the link for hotels and events.

Count me in.

Count me in. The Phoenix Parade is a delight. Not too long, but still full of pride and many young men happy as they can be. There is a festival on both days of the weekend, and, most of us would enjoy the night at Dick's Cabaret. Naked dancing at its best. And, to top it off, you have a nice host like Lurker Speaks, and he knows some really good masseurs...and who knows who else?

I will be there again. :) I really liked that the parade starts off the pride weekend. Given the Phoenix heat, the water/sodas/energy drinks - given out by the floats - were a nice touch last year. Of course, a few nights at Dicks are high on my agenda. ;)

Hotel prices in Phoenix are down from last year. Our hotel near the airport is $40 a night on Priceline (4*)whereas the last two years I have paid $55. Will the boys at Dick's also be reduced? Some reductions we don't want...

There is the option of single day or two day admission tickets for the festival. If you plan on attending our "get together" dinner on Saturday evening, please drop me a line and let me know how many will be attending (you alone, with a guest, etc) so I can make appropriate arrangements..Thanks to all who have expressed interest. Also.. if you let me know where you will be staying, i will try to work on travel directions, carpools, etc to get everyone to the "fun" places..

Just added--another HooMer Pride event... Now we will meet at Dicks on Friday nite..Saturday we meet for the Pride parade and festival, followed by a dinner (with a couple of Dicks cabaret dancers/escorts attending). Then the newest addition to the weekend, we will meet for brunch Sunday before taking in more of the pride festival, and then one final nite at Dicks if anyone is still interested. Of course each attendee can mix and match any of the planned events according to his own tastes/plans... It should be fun filled weekend of eyecandy, good company, and good conversations.

By the time I get to Phoenix

Took too many years to finally attend my first PRIDE event.

My thanks to our host Lurker Speaks for all his work in organizing some fun dinners, playing at (with) DICK'S and showing off his city and his hospitality.

Nice to meet some other posters as well as some of the hot men in this area.

Also enjoyed meeting Brandon and the boys at brunch on Sunday.

Really enjoyed the parade and festival. Phoenix has hot weather, hot men and some really hot support from the str8 world.

Way to go Phoenix.

Lurker you can speak to me anytime.

Hey Lurker, I attended Pride in Phoenix a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, this year the dates were not good for me. Did you have RuPaul in the entertainment again? I remember he put the public on fire.

I can't wait to get to Phoenix in June again and climb on Camelback ... :)

Sorry you missed the festivities.. No RuPaul this year..We had a "rockin" pride with the Gin Blossoms as the headliners. Rupaul was two years ago... I remember it well. I was front and center, squashed up against the barricades..

As was alluded to here and over at MER.. the weekend was a lot of fun..Six posters from the two sites joined us, plus another last minute visitor from the boards who was in town for a conference. For our saturday dinner we had the pleasure of meeting a couple of Phoenix's new "working boys", StudCody and Bailey..Definitely two up and cumming guys to look out for.. and on Sunday Brunch, we had the pleasure of being joined by Brandon Baker and Angel Benton, who explained to us all about the importance of Twittering, tweating, and twut not...

A funny moment ensued when someone was described as coquettish, and then debated whether it was coquesttish or coke-headish.

Thanks again for all who attended.. I look forward to making this a yearly event for the two factions of Hooville and MER to come together and celebrate fun...

Thanks for posting the Pride Info. I didn't realize Phoenix had a Pride Event.

In SoCal... Long Beach, LA,, San Deigo, and Palm Springs are always advertised. You guys look like you will have a great time, especially since Phoenix is such a nice area. I need to go back to Arizona again. Have fun!
