I reached out to Kyle after my other provider fired me for mysterious reasons. I hadn’t given the first guy any details about why I wanted a massage and I let Kyle know what was going with my body (and after reading back over it realized I sounded like I needed medical attention) 😂

He said he couldn’t help with my issues but he was very nice and apologetic about it.

I asked him for his specialties and he said, “I mainly do general relaxation with deep tissue with or without focus areas.”

Update on Kyle. One of my friends sees him and told me Kyle wasn’t doing the charade of asking his prospective clients for photos/stats before deciding to see them any more. Good on him, sounds like he has evolved, at least in that way.

Good on Kyle for knowing the limits of his expertise and not over promising to fix your problems @Casual. Not knowing exactly what you asked for, in general it’s sometimes better to refer a client to a chiropractor, physical therapist, a provider skilled in other modalities such as Thai Massage, or a medical professional. Massage is a good compliment to other forms of treatment, but it can’t address everything a client might need.

Kyle really enjoyed you as a massage client and with you specifically, more, too. THAT would be the reason that working with you in a professional capacity wouldn't be his personal interest. I feel it doesn't have anything to do with you willing to go further with your clients, but his desire to want to have that same fun, which would potentially deprive the client of getting the attention. This in essence emphasizes how much people enjoy your company.
