I saw this kid's story on the news a fe weeks ago. Wasn't he one of the nominees for CNN's Hero of the Year?

There was a very similar story in our community around 12 years ago. The community rallied around the boy and helped raise money for his medical bills. When he died, the money remaining was used to start a food bank program, which is now supported by local individuals and churches. Twelve years later, we continue to provide food to around 300 families a month. And it all started because the boy wanted to help other people.
