Adele on SNL last night

Did anyone see her last night performing on a very funny SNL? She was fantastic. To me, her voice reminds me a little of Cass Elliot and the song "Chasing Pavements" has a Burt Bacharach/Dionne Warwick sound to it.

First, I agree she's a very talented performer.

 

That said, FWIW, as one of the top five all time fans of Cass Elliot, I'd argue that Cass' talent was her ability to hold a pitch perfect tune while singing a cappella; Ethel Merman was another; Jerry Lee Lewis is still another. Adele may have that talent, but we wouldn't know from her performance on SNL.
