I streamed Yuli today on my DirecTV service. Yuli (Spain 2018), a biopic of Cuban ballet superstar Carlos Acosta. I understand there are other platforms one can view this film in the States, such as HBOmax and Amazon Prime HBO channel.

 

One often hears how a movie has been overlooked. Yuli falls in that category, at least in the US. From the reviews and media coverage, there seemed to be a lot more attention given in Europe.

 

If you enjoye dance like I do, I'll recommend to you that the movie includes a feast of ballet performance. The two main dancers in the film are easy on the eyes, if that makes any difference to any of you.

 

Well acted, well shot, wonderful, dramatic film. I will watch it again.
