Olympic Platform Diving

I'm watching the prelims and semifinals for the platform diving. Now I'm sorry I missed the synchronized swimming. The two Americans from Indiana, Thomas Fincham and David Boudia, have great bods and are real cuties - especially Thomas Fincham. My gaydar tells me they're gay - perhaps an item. If there's info on this, I'm just not aware of it. They are friends who have trained together for years. I noticed after I first posted this that there are pics of the two from the synchronized diving in a previous thread on the olympics.

 

IMHO, I think divers have the best bodies of all the athletes. Of course, that's just my personal taste. They do a lot of gymnastics as part of their training, which contributes to their being well defined, but without the bulk of gymnasts.

 

The finals in platform diving are tomorrow night.

I'll take a contrarian view here. I don't think Thomas Fincham has a great or attractive body at all. Reminds me of a 12 year old boy or girl. Very little muscle definition and those skinny thighs ... and with makeup he would look like a girl. Not my taste.

 

I think there are FAR better looking divers .... Devon Tarantino comes to mind. Great thighs. The Canadian guy -- Alexander something or other -- as well.

 

Also, some of the wrestlers and the gymnasts have great bods.

 

The problem with many of the divers is the "sunken in" chest look. I need some pecs!

 

Of course, the decathlete Brian Clay may have the best bod of all! He was smokin' hot last night.

The members on this site have very diverse tastes in the type of guy who turns them on. That's crystal clear when members discuss escort reviews. I expected that there would be people who didn't share my personal taste. That's fine. I happen to like the way divers are built. Granted, there are divers with better bods than the two Americans. They just happened to catch my eye when I turned on the event. I am also intrigued by the fact that they do synchronized swimming together. If they are an item, I just think that's kind of neat.

 

I remember the controversy over Sammy Case. People had extremely different views of him.

 

So if you see Thomas Fincham, please send him over here. I won't turn him away. I'll leave the bulkier gymnasts to you.

I thought Thomas Fincham was hot until I heard him speak in an announcement for something. He has a very soft, girly voice... It immediately burst my bubble for him. If I happen to run into him, I will definitely send him your way......

He just came from behind to win the gold medal. So he now has two reasons to be proud. I'm very happy for him.

I know this is stereotypical, but it was hearing both Thomas Fincham's and David Boudia's voices during the syncro event that made me think they might be gay. Just before the dive they counted out loud so I could hear that both had a slightly girly kind of high voice. But I don't mind men with girly voices :-)

 

They weren't the only divers with girly sounding voices, though :-)

It may be stereotypical, but it's also true that there are gay people who speak with what is sometimes called the "gay lisp." I can see how it turns some guys off, and I have to admit that I would prefer to hear a masculine voice. Gay people come in all kinds from football players to feminine-appearing and sounding guys. We are all entitled to our preferences, but let's also try to remain tolerant of differences within the gay community. Otherwise, how can we expect str8 people not to perpetuate these stereotypes and see beyond them?

Matthew Mitchum was so funny to watch when he came out of the pool after doing a good dive. He jumped up and down smiling like a kid. I'm reminded of Jack in "Will and Grace." I have to admit that if I didn't know he was gay, the manner in which he did this would have been a sure giveaway.

Isn't that a stereotypical remark itself? Hard not to do, isn't it? But, I know what you mean so it is largely a matter of attitude, isn't it?

The gymnasts aren't "bulkier." They are just muscular and manly looking. Divers like Finchum look like pre-pubescent girls. And they sound like them, too! I'll be happy to send him your way .... if I run into him.

It is said - "To each his own!" IMHO Thomas Finchum has, for an 18 year old, a perfectly symetrical, defined body. As a twink lover I have never seen a more perfectly put together specimen.
