Omg, I guess I understood when forum members wrote yinz what it meant but always wondered where the heck that came from. This article clarified it at the end lol. I feel kind of dumb: it’s the equivalent of y’all in Pittsburgh ?

I had a former friend whose mother's side of the family hailed from Pittsburgh, so I always knew this from her mocking Pittsburghers' accents and their use of that term.
