I just wonder where the photographers are in Redding...

Well, looks like some fantastic work by photographer Antony Kozz, but I think he works out of central California!

@Unicorn, I can see that retirement is treating you well.

Well, it would be a paradise if I had these Aidens/Aidans servicing me, but I may have found my man for LA already! "Quinn" ended up being a prick, as was becoming evident. "Lindoro" keeps sending out hot and cold signals, although I like him very much, and he has the voice of an angel. However, I seem to be hitting it off quite well with a man I'll call "Diego," because he's from San Diego. He's a graphic design student, and we seem to have great chemistry. He has a kind, easy-going personality and we seem to hit it off quite well. He's had two extended stays with me, one up in the Bay Area in the Fall, and one with me in LA more recently.

Redding's such a beautiful town, with so many hiking possibilities all around. I just looked up flights, and see that there are no direct flights from Los Angeles, so it will be a major pain for me to go there again... ? This is the I-5 bridge across beautiful Lake Shasta.

Fly to SAC and drive up the 5. A nice idea would be to take the Weed, CA exit and drive to Portland via Bend and Mt Hood. Take an easy detour after Klamath Falls and visit Crater Lake. Astounding scenery all the way!

@Unicorn,

On the way up, if you're going to exit at Bend, you might want to check out the 3 sisters wilderness area (nearish Bend) on your way to Mt Hood.

I see...it's for the bridge and tummy crowd!

To explain a joke generally reduces the humor of it, but I think quite a few of forum members might not pick up on the clever reference to "bridge and tunnel crowd". Well done!
