My research focused on the development of a low-cost tissue characterization method for skin cancer detection and mapping. Prior to that, I completed my Master’s degree at the University of Nebraska researching surgical robotics with the guidance of Dr. Shane Farritor. During my time at Nebraska, I led the design, assembly, and testing of three generations of in vivo robots for surgical applications. Both research projects resulted in patented technology. In addition to graduate research, I held internships with the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab (Pasadena, CA), Honeybee Robotics (Pasadena, CA), and NUTech Ventures (Lincoln, NE). I am a former starting linebacker for the University of Nebraska football team where I earned academic All-American honors. I am passionate about designing and implementing unique solutions that alleviate pain points, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. I have experience bringing products to market and working through difficult problems. My interests include mechanical design for consumer or medical applications, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship.
