After high school, he enrolled at the University of Colorado, where a model agent scouted him on Myspace and eventually convinced him to pack his bags and move to New York. He modeled for various high-end designers in New York before moving to Los Angeles in 2009 to pursue a career in screenwriting. He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado.
