Many of National Public Radio's programs are podcasted.

The Third Coast International Audio Festival, produced by Chicago Public Radio, also has some ongoing podcasts.

Happy listening!

PS: If you like what you hear, consider sponsoring your local NPR station...they need the support. No, I don't work for them.

I enjoy Washington Week in Review, This Week With George Stephenopolis, Face the Nation (video and audio pods available) and Meet the Press (video and audio.) For a while I listened to the podcast of Real Time with Bill Maher, but I prefer watching it on TV (HBO) because so much is cut out of the podcast. I download the podcasts from iTunes which has many additional choices.

Of course it would help if we knew what your interests are .... but since you didn't tell us, here are a few of my favorites (all subscribable for free via iTunes):

Le Show (Harry Shearer, from KCRW)

The Splendid Table (all about food; from American Public Media)

Left, Right and Center (political discussion, from KCRW)

Real Time with Bill Maher (from HBO)

Washington Week (from PBS)

Wait, Wait-Don't Tell Me (comedy quiz show from NPR)

There are lots of other good shows from the various public radio providers (NPR, PRI, APM, local stations.)

Thanks for the recommendations! Yes, they're exactly the types of programs I'm looking for to keep me glued to the cardio machines daily, since This American Life only comes out once a week....
