NYT: Twinky boys are in!

On the front page of Thursday's NYT Style section was a very large article -- with twinky boy -- photos that declared that designers have decided to "embrace the skinny man." The days of the 6' tall buffed model with abs are gone and replaced by thin, twinky boy-type models. Perhaps my favorite quote is this ...

 

"The man of the moment is an urchin, a wraith or an underfed runt."

 

And how about this one ...

 

"Nowhere was this more clear than at the recent men's wear shows in Milan and Paris, where even those inured to the new look were flabbergasted at the sheer quantity of guys who looked chicken-chested, hollow-cheeked, and undernourished."

 

But not for me ... as the songwriter wrote.
