I use to use that soap. It smells great and its pretty strong. The only drawback is that it reaally dries you out. I recommend using moisturizer after your shower or bath.

You can get the soap from WHole Foods if there is one in your area.

joseph..I've been using Dr Bronner's for Year's. "Peppermint" is the most popular. At one time I could get 1/2 Gal for $21 in NYC.. Those days are over!

I also use it for Frequent Tub Soaks. It is Pure Castile with Organic Oils, so I have Baby Soft Skin from its use!

It's great for gently removing Sun Tan Lotion, which I use alot during the Summer Months. ;-)

I've used Dr Bronner's for years. Try the eucalyptus....it is very refreshing.

PS: someone mentioned buying it at Whole Foods. Trader Joe's also carries the peppermint (if you have one in your area) and most health- or natural foods stores also carry it, just in case you run out and don't want to wait for mail order.

PPS: From where did you order it?

Your skin actually got softer?

Mine must have dried up because I used the bar. I didn't know until your that it came in liquid form. Maybe I should try out the liquid form.

Dr. Bronner's is great stuff. Used to get it at the Heartland Cafe in Rogers Park (Chicago). Can usually find it in a health foods store ...

RoS ..Yes Try the Liquid...It is Made with Pure Organic Oils. A little goes a Long Way. Watch it though, it can make for a "Slippery Tub" when poured directly on it!

I wouldn't suggest using it as a Face Soap or using it on the Scalp though! But that's just my Personal Experience. ;-)

Wow. Dr. Bronner's. When I first hitch hiked away from home in the seventies and ended up in a progessive college town full of hippies, that was THE soap. I was a 16 yr old leaving suburbia and entering a world of brown rice, LSD, and Dr. Bronners. Great in the summer. Really tries you out in the winter. Even the liquid since peppermint oil has a drying effect after a while.

I just can't believe with so many replies in this thread nobody has mentioned the wild ramblings on the bottle! That man was a real character. The bottle was covering in his writings. Is it no longer? I think I even read there was a recent documentary about his life.

Yup! The Good Dr has Passed On. But his Flower Power Soap will Live on Forever!

BUT do Remember...Even though around here.. "It's MAINLY What's on the Outside that Counts"..with Dr Bronner's.. "It's What's Totally on the INSIDE that counts" Peppermint Rocks, the Other's are Boring!

No I didn't Rip Off one of the Good Dr's Ramblings! ;-)

I was fortunate enough to sample Dr. Bronner's "Baby Mild" Liquid Soap while dining at Siren Hall restaurant while in Elk Rapids on vacation.

The soap is amazing!

I'm going to order a 32oz bottle of the "Baby Mild" and also smaller bottles of the "Rose" and Peppermint" liquid soaps.
