The local library offers free wifi while they are closed, but has installed "Fortigard" and blocks porn. That's weird because they've never done that before.

There have been lawsuits about blocking software at libraries. I haven't looked up any recent cases, but in the past, courts have ruled that libraries, because they are government entities, cannot block websites on 1st Amendment grounds. Not 100% sure if this applies to adult sites, but it might. You may want to check that out.

I’m not a lawyer, but I believe that constitutionally, most First Amendment challenges have been subordinated to the obligation of protecting minors. At the extreme, allowing a minor to view porn in a public place could also subject the viewer to charges of solicitation or pandering... people could complain or fight it, but alas, there’s no good optics associated with doing that.
