Early this spring I want to clean the carpets. There are quite a few heavy things in the living room and need help moving it so I thought a day labor from Homo Depot or something would be helpful. What is the general protocal of getting one of the guys to help move the tv, a cabinet, futon and a few other things around? I'm not looking to get freaky with the guy just need some help since Boobers has back issues and all the lifting would be bothersome for him.

Hugs,

Greg

Greg, have you considered just hiring a professional carpet shampoo company? A good company would remove as much dirt as physically possible. They would also do all the necessary moving. It seems to me this would save you a lot of headaches and may not cost you much more, considering the mover's costs and your expenses for renting shampooing equipment. Just a thought. I don't know the current rate for shampooing an entire apartment. You would have to get an estimate.
