I thought it closed - are they still trying to save it or is this old news, so to speak?

The building sits empty and is for sale. There is an active campaign to get investors to buy it and re-open it. I guess the owner decided not to renovate and put in an upscale restaurant for now. But he wants way too much money for the property that no one could make the money back as a bar. So who knows what will happen.
