Internet Escorting and Stings

I was watching this video on youtube about Bryan Young, an online escort in San Antonio -- I think it was done for MTV a few years back -- anyway, toward the end, it showed what was purported to be actual police tape footage of him being arrested by San Antonio police in a hotel room sting:

Granted, I'm very careful about how I discuss what I do, emphasizing that what I'm offering is companionship, and whatever else happens isn't negotiated, but I've never had any problems or even heard of any stings on gay internet escorts, and I've lived in Los Angeles, Portland, OR, New Orleans and now, Miami. Has anyone out there had any experiences with vice? What were the circumstances? Could it be they go after this a lot more in Texas?

 

One thing about this MTV story -- the beginning appears to have been taped prior to Bryan's arrest, and then the arrest kind of conveniently happens as the "climax" to the story, while the crew is still around. Unless they flew back again after they'd completed the first part of the story to do a follow-up, it seems like it could have been staged to make the story more interesting. Does anyone have any info on this?

 

I hope the climate isn't this bad in Texas, because I was thinking Austin would be a cool place to live!

I saw that video a few years ago on MTV. i wonder if theres allot of arrest made from online escorting or massage. I think they tend to go after females more often. I have had this one guy call me for a massage a number of times he only asked one question. id answer and he would ask me if i liked getting sucked off at the end of the massage? i told him last week if he ever called again i was calling law enforcement myself. allot of potential clients will loose out on services because of their rude blunt phone behavior.. I will not promise a hand release on the phone either.. In 9 years of doing massages i find the best clients to be the ones who ask the least questions.. The ones who keep hinting around and bluntly sexual with their comment raise flags that can scare a provider off..

I agree. I tell people that although it's fine to share their interests with me, I have to be careful not to make an "agreement" to provide something sexual, because the legality is all about the agreement. As long as the only actual agreement is for companionship, no laws have been broken. There's an analogy I heard once about a pizza guy:

 

A guy calls a pizza restaurant and orders a pizza. The pizza boy delivers it about an hour later. When he arrives, the two have wild, passionate sex and afterwards, the guy pays him for the pizza. No laws have been broken.

 

A guy calls a pizza restaurant again, orders a pizza, and requests to have wild, passionate sex with the pizza guy. The pizza boy arrives about an hour later with the pizza and the two have sex. Afterwards the guy pays him for the works. This time, the law was broken.

 

Why, if they did the exact same thing? It's all about the agreement...

 

Nonetheless, I suppose that wouldn't stop someone who was really intent on arresting you. The charges might not hold up in court, given the lack of evidence, but the damage would still have been done.

 

I'm still wondering, though, if anyone's ever heard of any stings or arrests involving guys escorting on the net. It does seem to be something that mostly happens to women -- maybe because they're often being taken advantage of by an abusive pimp?

since you brought up pizza. I remember years ago there was a male escort agency here in atlanta. you would order a guy and a pizza lol depending on what toppings came on the pizza determained what the guys would do. I remember seeing it on line a few times
