And I looked at his profile a half dozen times.....

I'm not blocked.

I've seen this happen before - some members blocked, some not. I'm curious. Those of you who are blocked, do you have anything in your RM profile or actions you have taken - e.g., low-star ratings - that may make this happen?

Good point.

I have written several reviews at rentmen. All of the reviews are five star except one was bad and had only one star.

It was of a rentmen advertiser who was using stolen photos of a former escort that I know.

Most of us know that the narrative on rentmen reviews are blocked to U.S. site users. However, the narratives can be read if we use a VPN.

It is possible he went to my profile and saw the review that discussed the "escort" who was using fake photos for his ad.

Considering that this "escort" is also using fake photos, he most likely blocked me because he was fearful of having something written with rentmen concerning the fake photos he is using.

And now his 1 star review is gone!

How disappointing that rentmen yielded and removed a posted non-favorable review from a not so honest provider!

There is no question that the integrity of rentmen just went down a notch for me with respect to its review credibility.

The fake ad was a verifiable example of an advertiser using fake photos. At the same time, the advertiser was able to convince rentmen to remove the non-favorable review from his fake advertisement.

That trick (removing the bad review) of the provider could be the basis of a future client hiring the dishonest provider and not knowing what the provider really looks like.

A couple of thoughts: (1) we should all realize we are only indirect targets of Rentmen -- it's the escorts who are RM's clients, not those of us who hire the escorts; and (2) I have zero insight into how reviews get removed, whether Rentmen has a process to review requests from the escort or the escort can remove them on his own, or whether any particular negative review fails to survive scrutiny if/when challenged. I'd prefer that the reviews be left in place, and allow readers to form their own conclusions about the review's credibility. Better still would be the approach Daddy follows: post the review and allow the escort to respond.

I looked at his private pics. Did you? Also, I do show in my profile that I'm a top. I plan on changing it to versatile though (I've been practicing!).

I'm not worried about it but it seems like he wouldn't want to go through all that trouble over someone who just browsed his pics. It's not good business sense. Maybe I wanted a side-by-side session or something and he shut the door on me. Lol

Rentmen sucks. A few months back I wrote a partial negative review on an escort and Rentmen sent me an email stating I couldn't post it because I did not contact the escort "through their website". Which is BS. I hooked up with the guy via the phone number listed on his ad. The escorts provide the revenue for Rentmen so they take their side. The escort can also just block you, preventing you from even writing a review. Daddy's Reviews is the gold standard for escort reviews.

and...he's....OUTTA HERE!.......I'd like to think it was my little text to him about borrowed pictures that did the trick!

Okay, he changed his screen name which is why his link is dead.

I am convinced that the provider reads this forum.

There are too many coincidences with him blocking certain posters who post here and mention him.

The way rentmen works, the scammer will be able to keep his account but give it a new name and different photos. . When the new name is applied to his ad, the five-star reviews will follow the fake provider.

I agree with your point about RM catering to its clients, the escorts, and not the people who use the site to locate escorts. That's a point I've made many times in many posts. As to the former point, I'm of a mixed mind. On the one hand, more openness is always a good thing so I'd like to see reviews (and responses) posted. On the other, RM uses the "contact" through it's email system to verify that a contact was made based on the ad on their site, and that's one means of screening a false review.

I've always approached RentMen reviews skeptically unless the reviewer has a track record. Positive reviews may be written by the escort or his/her handler, and negative reviews may be written by competitors or former lovers. If anything, the requirement of contact through the RM email platform seems a reasonable means to ascertain whether the reviewer actually at least contacted the escort, although it doesn't say why or whether the contact resulting in anything further.

Bingo, you are correct.

All the reviews that I wrote on rentmen were steller except for one.

I had answered an ad that showed a well-built good looking guy. The guy, both on the rentmen message site and in messages to my phone assured me the photos were his.

I agreed to meet him.

When I got to his place, he was NOT the person in the photos.

Worse though, he had a skinny four-inch penis that could not get hard. He was a lying scammer.

When I wrote the one-star rentmen review and complained to rentmen about the stolen photos, the fake photos were removed within hours.

The one-star negative review remains on my account with rentmen along with the other five-star reviews I wrote.
