I’m seeing more and more on Gallery pages a panel of photos that says “visit newTumbl.com.” It connects to nothing. Why does it appear?

I’m seeing more and more on Gallery pages a panel of photos that says “visit newTumbl.com.” It connects to nothing. Why does it appear?

It's a default Tumblr image to indicate that the image posted is behind some sort of password or other access control on the site.

It's complicated... Some of us are not able to see the pictures and other of us do. We couldn't figure out if it had to do with a combination of the platform (PC/Mac) and browser (IE/Chrome/Firefox) or simply new tumblr viewer settings for each person trying to display the pictures... Having seen tumblr pictures from the same poster that are now not visible, it tells me that the intention was not to post the pictures if we couldn't access them... Cheers!
