most of us know that almost all wars have occurred because of religious intolerance or something close to that....

 

religion has caused more human misery than any other factor...

 

however, ego and selfishness are also important factors today that make peace unattainable....

 

we can "imagine" peace, sing songs, hold hands, make love not war, blah, blah, but it just isn't likely to occur...mostly for the above reasons....sorry to be pessimistic, but that's the reality....

I'd beg to differ on the religion as cause of all wars. From the history classes I attended it was pretty clear that nearly all wars are economic in root cause. Religion often becomes the justification.
