I have a good friend who I often share discussions that are held here on various topics. He is a very interesting person, whose opinions I usually hold in high regard.

 

Alas, the one thing we disagree on is the topic of escorting. We each have shared our thoughts and opinions on the topic, and respect the fact that we have different views.

 

I think he would greatly enjoy participating on a message forum such as this without all the escort related chat.

 

Does anyone know of any general gay chat forums? I've checked out the chat at craiglist, but it's really nothing like this one.

 

Would appreciate your input.

Why can't he join this site and participate ONLY in the lounge? It consistently has topics that are gay-centric without being escortic-centric. Now if he simply won't consider doing so because he refuses to join a site that deals with escorting matters then he is certainly out of luck here. He might then consider googling something like "gay chat sites" something with definitely materialize.

Actually, a while back he did start checking out this site. Unfortunately, the Lounge also has a lot of escort-related chat .. which he understood is the nature of the site.

 

However, on a few occasions he shared his viewpoint. I read his posts. They weren't offensive in any way. He simply shared his thoughts. And, not surprisingly, he was attacked from a few posters for his opinion.

 

So this place wasn't a good experience for him.

The one constant with almost all chat sites is that their anonymity encourages an attack mentality on the part of participants. If your friend is highly sensitive, to that kind of nonsense, then he will definitely have difficulties with just about all chat sites.

I have belonged to a great deal of sites over the years. and every single site has those type of people. it takes a very thick skin to chat on any forum.. I have never worked as an escort nor ever hired one either. and i dont let that stop me from visiting this as well as a few other sites.

I think the guys here are among the best to chat with. We have some serious discussions and very light hearted discussions. There are times that I say things that aren't neccesarily what I believe in, but I say things at times in order to express a view that others might not express which may help in a discussion, but I don't do that very often, and if a someone knew me in person, they would know what I was doing.

There are people from all walks of life who contribute to the MC, so to me this would be a great place for him to communicate with others.

I hold very high regard towards the group of guys who post here.
