Today a pop-up ad with the Safari logo suggested that i download this program to clear my history of certain sites.

 

Is it legit? Have any of you used this software?

No way. No how. And it's a bitch to get rid of according to a quick Google search.

 

Legitimate software vendors will NOT market through popups precisely because so much spyware and other malware is spread that way.

 

ANY TIME you see a popup, close it. It's not worth tempting fate.

Those blockers are great! I remember in the early days of internet getting 10-15 or more windows popping up at once and trying to close them before more popped opened. We sure have come a long way!

I use a pop-up blocker but this seemed to come right from Safari.
