Survey: how much to tip in a NYC spa?

There's a lot of factors to this including how much the spa charges, massage quality, special ending..etc. So, in the scenario of a regular run of the mill spa like Greenhouse spa or Spa 27 which charges $60 per hour, and a regular massage (not spectacular, but good enough which is common), and an engaging manual HE, What is your regular tip? (knowing that performances that go below or above would dictate adjusting it.)

$40-50 I think is ok....rarely above in my opinion And I would add that $60 is ok but for a very special experience

Seems about right. I rarely do just an hour. On a 90 min mssg ranging from $70-90, I typically tip $60 for a standard session.

I tip the standard 20% for standard.

More generous for a skilled and happy finish.

Obviously if there's more on the menu, I pay for ala carte

Depends on how happy I was at the end...but in the neighborhood of $50
