It might be a cultural thing because he's Colombian. A friend must tell him we Americans nowadays don't use as much as we did in past decades.

I met a very handsome man from Brazil while in Paris...He stunk of cheap cologne and salami or something...I suggested we both shower...He was quite agreeable..luckily I had an extra toothbrush...Moral of the story...as handsome as he was..the sex really stunk..
