Stick a fork in Blake, he's done.

But let's talk about that SONG! It's the biggest show on television, makes truck loads of music and THAT'S the song they choose as the "winning" song????

The song was a big slice of snore pie with yawn sauce.

They need to write a check for $1M, give it to Diane Warren and tell her to go sit her bony ass down at the piano and not get up until she's written a song for the show.

Critically yours,

FFF

Sparks should win - hands down.

But I don't think she will.

Why?

Cause the biggest block of voters are female tenny-boppers and they will probably vote for their "heart throb" - Blake.

It is NOT a singing competion regardless of what Cowell would have you believe - it's a personality contest.

Actually, Cowell has said several times that it's a "pop star" contest so stage presence is a part of it. If it were *just* a singing contest, they'd do it on the radio. ;-)

Of course, this is the reason why Kelly Clarkson beat out Justin Guarini. Lord knows her personality outshines the top of the Chrysler Building. NOT! Even the "female teeny-boppers" couldn't keep Guarini's million-dollar smile in the #1 slot.

And Ruben Studard? Now there's Mr. Personality. I'd rather spend a day Photoshopping with FinFangFoom.

It often doesn't matter what the "truth" is. Some opinionated queens will only believe their opinion no matter how silly it is.

Well I was sure wrong on that one - thank you Lord!

I thought the 2 hr show was well done, but..... this really pissed me off.

I live in Vancouver, hence Pacific Time Zone. The show actually happened at 5 p.m. Pacific time, so as it would run at 8 pm on the East coast.

I was watching Anderson Cooper 360 which we get at 7 pm as it originates on the east coast at 10 pm their time. At 10 to 8 (just as I was getting ready to switch over to the American Idol finale) John King - sitting in for Anderson, did a promo plug for tomorrow's Larry King Live saying.... that the new American Idol - Jordin Sparks, will be Larry's guest and went on to say that Blake was the runner-up.

So here was I, having watched Idol for the whole season and anxious to see the winner declared, only to have the whole surprise ruined for me by that stupid plug. I watched the whole show, knowing in advance who had won.

As I said above, I thought the show was good but the edge had certainly been taken off of it for me. THAT SUCKS.

Zip that sucks. I had to tape the singing from the night before as I was out and I made sure I did not read or hear anything before I heard it.

The show was very good, I thought again it was a bit anti-climatic as the best singer was not in the final two. Like last year, I thought the best singer was gone in the semi's. It was great Melinda did have a moment on the show.

I loved having the former Idols being a big part of the show. If Fantasia did not have her Broadway commitment it would have been sensational.

Finally I think Blake knew he did not have a shot, but with that song it is best he can strike out on his own. I think all top three will do very well.

I still cannot believe Taylor won last year, still do not like his singing.

Well, this morning, I'm glad to know FinFangFoom is happy. I wish the bliss could last because I see a lot of Photoshopped versions of Jordin Sparks coming our way. Thank goodness she doesn't have a penis.

Very sorry to hear about Zip's cat-out-of-the-bag. I would call or email CNN and scream bloody murder. They let down many, many viewers and management deserves some screaming-caller opinions.

I do agree with Fin on Jordin's single. It sucks. But I wouldn't necessarily run to Diane Warren either. She's been known to deliver her share of turkey gobbles.

A few observations:

Paula Abdul needs a new hairdresser (and a new brain).

I prefer Simon, Randy, and Ryan dressed up. (I'd be curious to see Ryan naked. I think Blake's ass looks tempting.)

I could never imagine going to see the Idol Tour. I'd rather have a tooth extracted without Novocane.

Haley Scarnato still has great legs but sings like a lounge act at an Ohio airport hotel.

I didn't need to see Chris Sligh again.

I enjoyed Carrie, Taylor, and Ruben. I wished someone would have poured a bucket of water over Sanjaya's crying fan.

Gladys Knight never did much for me. Looks like she could use a summer vacation with Jenny Craig.

The Winans? Give me a break. Too bad for Doolittle, that duet done little.

Tony Bennett and Smokey Robinson should retire.

The biggest disappointment of the night was Bette Midler, whom I adore. "The Wind Beneath My Wings" sounded more like, "The Age Behind My Chords." It was painful to watch her struggle to hit her notes. I can't imagine her taking over Celine's slot in Vegas. Midler may soon become the new Diana Ross. Looks like the back-up-girls will be doing much more than backup. And, good God, what was with her hair?

Thank goodness the season is over. It's time to get back to the gym.

< I still can't believe Taylor won last year...> ...neither can I! I never liked his singing and am still perplexed as to why he became the victor in 2006. Well, he might just go by the wayside in the future and will be forgotten!

Apparently, "American Idol" has become a personality contest! Again, the best singer, Melinda, was voted off before her time, but I am at least pleased that the 2007 "Idol" is someone who has a voice!

I might just do that. I had considerd it but thought the effort would be to no avail and that CNN couldn't care less what a Vancouver viewer thought (if they even bothered to read the e-mail)

>Paula Abdul needs a new hairdresser

Or perhaps just A hairdresser.

>I prefer Simon, Randy, and Ryan dressed up.

True but I think Simon should have worn a tie as well. His cleavage is getting to be a bit of a bore.

>I'd be curious to see Ryan naked.

So would I. Probably it would be disapointing, but with a few months at a gym with a personal trainer, it could be spectacular. Everytime I see him I love to speculate about what kind of underwear he is wearing.

>I think Blake's ass looks tempting.

Same here but I don't know why he didn't wear pants that showcased it more. His costumes were far too loose. The other good ass this year was Chris. I wonder if he and Blake had a "thing" during the show?

>I could never imagine going to see the Idol Tour. I'd rather

>have a tooth extracted without Novocane.

If Seacrest was the MC and I could have a front row seat, I'd be there for sure. Unfortunately they are not coming to Canada - guess they figure it would conflict with Canadian Idol (which really sucks - big time)

>Tony Bennett and Smokey Robinson should retire.

I thought Tony was really great. I know he's not in his prime but I still enjoyed him (especially the way he ended his number)
