Looking for a recommendation for a resort close by NYC - outside the city, maybe something with a view of nature (river etc). Spa/swimming pool facilities and light exercise like biking would be welcome. Food and beverages on site. Clothing optional and gay friendly. Thanks!

how close to nyc? clothing optional can be hard to find in the northeast - it gets cold here

During warmer weather Fire Is is the closest resort location to NYC.

Other options are a 2-3+ hour drive from town. The Catskills is the best for nature locations.

Try this site for recommendations. I cannot personally recommend anyplace in particular.

It's been awhile but PA has some gay resorts:

and New Hope has been a gay destination town for decades:

Good luck. Enjoy.

The Berkshires are nice.

The Hamptons are relaxing and aren't nearly as bougie as people think. Just research what part you'd want to be in and which location best suits your needs. I'd also recommend Montauk. I've surfed out there, had an awesome time.

Fire Island (Cherry Grove) is fun when the weather warms up. I like it better than the Pines, which can get- for me- entirely too gay.

LOL! Yes, I was looking towards the upcoming summer months. In the winter time I keep all my precious bits well covered! ;)

The Pines are fine for a day, but sadly a lot of the guys from the city can't leave the bullshit of the city behind when they come across on the ferry.

Cherry Grove is entirely more fun, more normal.

I like New Hope, and have often driven there from Philadelphia just to spend the day, including Washington Crossing. Oscar Hammerstein, the 2nd died in1960, but his Australian wife, Dorothy lived there in Doylestown for years, and family as well.

New Hope's gay resort the raven has closed. However, the gay motor lodge across the street is still open and has a pool and bar. The Raven had been going down hill for a while before all of its legal problems.

I didn't know it closed. From a comment to one of their posts on IG I thought the resort was just undergoing repairs.
