some of you know the story of the 1936 US Olympic rowing team, made up of mostly-poor country kids at the University of Washington, who overcame tough odds to take the gold at the Berlin Olympics......if you have access to the PBS American Experience videos, take 53 minutes off and watch it....as the American Experience series always is, it's inspiring and top quality stuff
