I was wondering if any of you had any luck ever in hiring someone you found on Instagram? I have heard that some of the attractive guys on there have indeed done some work with guys who are interested in them.

Unfortunately, no. I've followed one or two guys who have DM'd me their onlyfans link but that's about as close as I've come. They were too far away to make meeting practical so I never asked if they did in person performances. And I've never been motivated to pay for an onlyfans page.

 

I've also found the instagram pages of men I've hired through the usual sites (or Craigslist back in the day). But all the contact went through their ads and not IG.

I would advise against it.

While I wouldn’t flinch if someone tried to hire me via my social media, understand that while it is “public domain,” it is a safespace for some working guys. Whether you saw their ad elsewhere, know for a fact they are an escort, or you’re idk...clairvoyant, I don’t think it’s a good idea and it can come across as invasive. Contact them from the portal in which you know you can find their ad. While I wouldn’t mind, and it has happened, I kindly redirect the individual to where my ad can be found. I think it’s a more productive route than propositioning hot guys on IG.

 

Additionally, with social networks Facebook and Instagram, I always feel like ‘big brother’ is watching because of all the security loopholes. That’s not to say something couldn’t be happening on RentMen but, you understand.

I have had great success hiring guys on IG. You got to be tactful about it. In fact, one should always be tactful. Here are some scenarios:

 

1. One guy had exactly the same names on RM and on IG. He was clearly not hiding his escort persona. That was a no-brainer

 

2. One guy had a very similar names on RM and IG. He disguised his escort activities on IG, but only barely. I did contact him through RM but mentioned that I had seen him on IG as well. It was not a problem.

 

3. Many guys in NY have a very large IG following with 'onlyfans' or similar mentioned on their IG profile. Their IG profile is there to support their 'onlyfans' business. I believe there was a thread about it on this message board. It is not unusual that their 'onlyfans' subscriptions yield $8,000 per month, sometimes much more. Being an escort for them is an afterthought. There is no financial need to escort. They may do it if they sort of like you and if the price is right. Remember, they can see your profile if you contact them on IG. It is with guys like these that a tactful approach is necessary. Ask them if they do 'private sessions' or 'massages' ...

I have an Instagram and a Tinder account for this specifically. My Tinder account got banned, I'm guessing they're very strict about the description in your profile. Anything implying sex or rewarding appears to be a red flag and gets your account banned.

 

Instagram I've come across just regular, straight hot guys but haven't had any success yet. I'm guessing fear of exposure is a big reason why.
