I would be remiss if I didn't announce the 70th birthday of half of the folk singing comedy duo of the Smothers Brothers Tommy Smothers. They kept me entertained for hours in my teen years with bit such as Pumas, Peoria, Jezebel and their unique rendition of Tom Dooley - I met her on a mountain. There I took her..... several times. And who could ever forget Tommy protesting to Dicky "Mom always liked you best". Happy seventieth Tommy.

I always liked Tommy best. Now I am told that Steven Draker bears some resemblance to him, but I wonder if he is as funny as Tommy. He is certainly younger and better built...
