I had some fun over the past few weeks foiling a scammer. This might bore most of you, but there will possibly be a few who find this exchange amusing. His correspondence with me begins at the bottom, of course, and reads up. The address I gave him is quite fake.

THANK YOU,

Hello Tom,

How are you doing? It's been a while...I hope you are doing great!

To be quite sincere with you, I have been so so busy lately and I just got back from China on a Business trip. Presently, I am back in the UK and there are lots of things I have to put right before I leave for the States...I do sincerely apologize for all the inconvenience. Please bear with me. I want you to hold the 10th of February for me now as I would be done by then. Please do get back to me and lemme know if the 10th of February works with you.

Here is the Tracking Number for the payment : 0103 8555 7498 7506 5729 It was shipped out yesterday. You can track it on USPS.com, It will get to you on or before Wednesday 31st of January. You should take the Money Orders to your bank and get 'em cashed when you receive 'em, so you can go ahead with the necessary arrangements(Getting a nice Hotel booked for the 10th of February...).

Thanks so much for the understanding and please get back to me ASAP! I look forward to our meeting!!!

Sincerely,

Gary.

Hello Tom,

Well, I am a 35yr old British located in Ontario,Canada and I make export

of textile materials to the United States and other parts of the globe. I

am also into love play and BDSM as I can see, we have a lot in common,

lol...I will be in the state for a week and I will be coming your way(New

York) on the 20th of January. I want the appointment sealed before my

arrival, because I am a very busy man...

I am presently in the UK now, would be here till the end of the month, and

I am supposed to come to the States to pick up the payments for my last

business transactions. One of my payments is $5,000, I would like to make

an advance payment of $800(for an overnight) for your fees pending the time

I come, and $400 for our hotel reservations. You would then send the

remaining funds to me, so it could be used to facilitate other things.

Meeting place will be Manhattan NY, on the 20th of January for an

overnight.

Kindly mail your name(as it would apear on the Money Orders), your

address(where the Money Orders can be recieved), and your phone number.

Please I would appreciate if I can get a response A.S.A.P., so I would know

what next to do.

Best Regards,

Gary.

Oooh yeah this guy. What a trip. The first email actually seems like it could be legit and then it starts getting fun ...

The only time he emails me is when I put up a rentboy travel ad but I think it's hillarious that all his emails involve him catching his breath.

Hey deej: That was a hoot - I read the whole thing, start to finish.

The suspense was like a "who done it" novel.

Would loved to have seen the scammers face when he opened the parcel.

Tom,

SHAME ON YOU! Treating Mr. Gary Philips like that was terrible. After all, his email address is oneniceguy4u_35. Obviously he is a wonderful person.

Had you not been so cynical, I am certain you would have had a lovely time with Mr. Philips.

Btw, I received an offer to buy a beautiful bridge in your neck of the woods. It sounds like a fantastic opportunity. }(

Take care,

Dan
