Since you guys collectivly know everything, I have to ask my fellow LA posters if they know about this already.

I was walking to my car and noticed a new Thai Massage storefront on a sidestreet off SM Blvd. It is opposite end of the block that Goldcoast is on. I stopped on the sidewalk and a cute Thai boy stepped outside and said, "Hi. You like Massage tonight?" He shook my hand and kind of held on to it, smiling. He said an hour was $45. Yes, he was cute but I had to be somewhere so I passed.

Anyone been there yet? I've heard there were places like this is Los Angeles but I never knew where. I hear there is one on Western somewhere. Are they legit? I know I can't really go wrong for the price but a review from this site never hurts.

I was unable to find the place you refer to on Santa Monica on a recent visit to LA.

There is, however, an ad in IN magazine for the Stars Body Center, 5589 Pico Blvd. The ad pictures 8 Asian men available for Thai massage. Private and VIP rooms are available. Call 323-634-0869 for more information.

It is right across the street from that little Italian restaurant, Marco's. Can't think of the name of that sidestreet, but the next street east is Crescent Heights.

There is an ad for yet another Thai Massage place in today's Frontiers magazine. Maybe it is the one you saw:

Thai Body Works

1049 N. Havenhurst

West Hollywood

323-654-2044

They advertise Cute Thai Boys but no pix or website.

BTW, I am willing to try these guys out for the good of the team, but if each place has eight guys, that could be cost prohibitive. So does any one want to sponsor my research?:7

Lucky.....I have rounded up backers for you, but they want your experience captured on video. I guess they want to make a pornomentury.....:-)

I would pony up if teledildonics were a more developed science. Video don't cut it.

Hmm. "Pony up" in this context doesn't sound quite right. (Cf. Tom Lehrer: "He was majoring in animal husbandry. At least, until they caught him at it.")

The Thai Bodyworks is a small storefront off of Santa Monica Boulevard. I inquired at the desk about the massage, at which point the masseur Ray entered. He is 27, tall, with a mop of hair that enhances his youthful look. (He is 27.) I agreed to a massage with Ray at $55 for an hour. (It's $45 before noon.)

We went into a tent like area with mats on the floor. Ray did not strip, but wore a tank top and long sarong. He asked me if I liked the massage strong, and I did, but I didn't know that he could give it really strong. He uses his legs, knees, hands and feet. I got twisted and turned, kneeded and stretched. It was a good massage! However, it was over in 45 minutes. I did note that the sarong had come off at some point, revealing some sexy briefs.

As I dressed, Sean, the front desk man, came in to tell me that I was entitled to a free accupressure type event. He took me to the back room where there was a cot that heated up. It had rolling pressure points to give an automatic back rub as the bed heated up. I didn't like it so much, so after ten minutes I dressed. Sean was disappointed that I didn't last longer, but we had a nice conversation and I got to show off what little Thai I could speak. (Chok wao, anybody?)

According to Sean, who is 25 and quite friendly, the Pico Thai massage parlor, which now advertises a second location on Melrose, is also owned by the people that own Thai Bodyworks. I did not have time to try out the other locations.

If you are interested, Ray works Thursdays through Sundays, and Sean works Thursday and Friday. Of course they have other masseurs on the other days!

As for release, well, one has to understand that with a fixed location requiring rent and an investment in furnishings, licenses for the masseurs, advertising, etc. the owners cannot risk losing all of that by becoming known as a sex parlor. So go, have a good massage with some really sweet genuine Thai masseurs for a relatively low price. You'll be glad you did. Maybe you will even get lucky and one of them will ask you out!
