ASSISTANCE CONVERTING REAL PLAYER VIDEOS TO WMV

Once again I come to the well of information that this site affords. Over the holidays I discovered the joys of playing home made DVDs on a new player that works on my big plasma screen TV. I have been madly copying stored files into Windows Movie Maker. Now, it turns out that some of the hot vids I have are in Real player format and cannot be loaded into Movie maker.

 

I am sure there must be a program that will allow me to convert the format on these so that I can record them for play on my big screen.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Here's a link to a site that has been an immense help to me in the past..http://www.videohelp.com.There's a whole sction on converting files and software(some free) to do this.I bought this device from Pinnacle last year that connects to my tv through my router that allows me to play downloaded movies and videos from my computer on my television.I can do this wired or wireless however I decided wireless was not a very good idea.
