I know that I have definitely had to step back my visits with men mostly because the holiday season is expensive and I don't have the budget for it as much at this time of year. I've also noticed the donations for time have gone up recently with some of the guys I was interested in. I know $300 is pretty standard in some of the larger cities, but that is kind of on the high end in Denver, especially for a new person who I don't necessarily know if the experience will be positive or not. Good luck though...if you ever make it to Denver, I would definitely be interested. :)

The biz always ebbs and flows, and where you are in that cycle rarely correlates to any other working guy. On average, working in NYC is quite a good gig, so maybe just store your shekels during the good times (there's one just around the corner) and don't fret the slow months.

Historically speaking, my data shows Nov./Dec. being slow with a spike in Jan. I decided to cut back this year and enjoy my time with friends/family.

That’s a great way to handle the down cycle. Instead of being frustrated with lower returns, use the time to rebalance and rest up for when business picks up in January.

It’s a perfect time for off season travel to Europe. The week after thanksgiving is relatively dead in some countries.

Reward yourself for working so much during the year.

Is anyone else finding this month and last month to be extremely slow? I live in NYC but I’ve been traveling to nearby New Jersey and Connecticut more than ever before?

that's what I've heard by other escorts. I guess folks are busy with parties and spending money in gifts.

January and February are great months to fly, cheaper airfares and specially hotels in most of the country.

I personally don't find business to be slowing down whatsoever but I guess it is normal if you experience something like that due to the fact that the holidays are here and many people's budgets are tighter due to the holiday spending. I am sure it will pick up for you again starting from next week!

Happy Holidays to all of you!

I usually experience a similar pattern of slow down towards the end of the calendar year, with small spikes right around Christmas and, often, January is a very full month. Like Kevin said, where we might be could differ - I've talked to guys when I've been randomly slow and they've been crazy busy, and vice versa. I've found the longer I keep at this, the easier those times feel - I know they aren't forever, and I'm less tempted to compare my experience with that of others. Like Victor, I plan my time to account for what I expect to happen - tailoring my travel schedule and recreational stuff based on when I expect to be busy or not.

Christian you also must take into account you in an over saturated market. NYC has more active escorts than any other city so in addition to it being slow, your ad does get lost in a HUGE deck of cards unless you are giving yourself prime visibility regularly (and on days that count). You just can’t be an escort in NYC and expect to bank, it actually requires a lot more strategy than neighboring cities as there are A LOT of working guys. Your ticket is to travel regularly.

Exactly. NYC is a buyers market with at least 400 guys available every single day.
